Stetís ímexstowx

Stetís ímexstowx (Stah tee-ss ee-mehx-sst-owwhx) translates to “walk beside us” in the beautiful Halq’eméylem language.

On September 30, 2025, local civic and community organizations will come together at Thunderbird Square and Civic Plaza to create opportunities for learning, reflection, and understanding. As a proud partner in this community event, the Abbotsford School District is honoured to stand alongside organizations working to increase awareness of Truth and Reconciliation and the history and ongoing impacts of Residential Schools.

The day will begin with an Opening Ceremony at 10:00 a.m. at Thunderbird Square, followed by the opening of interactive learning stations throughout the site. Community members are invited to visit the stations, engage with shared stories and resources, and reflect on the collective journey toward Reconciliation.

We encourage students, families, staff, and community members to join this important day of learning and connection.
